Dehradun: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, railway infrastructure development in Uttarakhand has accelerated. Key projects were reviewed during a meeting with DRM Moradabad Vinita Srivastava.

The Roorkee–Deoband railway line has been commissioned, while the Rishikesh–Karnaprayag rail project has achieved nearly 94% tunnel completion. Speed enhancement works on major routes, including Laksar–Haridwar, have improved rail capacity and safety.

Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, Harrawala, Roorkee and Kotdwar stations are being redeveloped with modern passenger amenities. Capacity enhancement of the Haridwar–Dehradun section is also underway.

Several ROB, RUB and LHS works have been completed across the state, easing traffic congestion and improving railway safety. The Chief Minister also directed timely redevelopment of Tanakpur railway station and strengthened preparations for the upcoming Ardh Kumbh to ensure better facilities for pilgrims and passengers.
